Those skills are timeless and transferable to any profession. You've probably heard about them as soft skills or 21st-century skills. Those are skills like communication, leadership, time-management, public speaking, creativity, etc. In this workshop full of exercises and activities, you will explore those skills and their implications for your future. Lastly, you will learn how and where you can learn your desired skills at the EUR.

Not being able to assert yourself can be quite frustrating in certain situations. For example, people might take advantage of your good nature, and you might find it difficult to say no, or you might want to express your opinion or idea to a group, but you are afraid they might disagree with you. Assertive communication is a crucial skill not only for your relationships but also for your career. Imagine asking your boss for a raise or trying to steer your colleagues towards a certain idea.

In this interactive workshop, you'll experience several reframing exercises and activities like mind mapping, that will help you overcome career-related limiting beliefs and embrace a designer-like creative mindset. You quickly realize that career design is not only possible but also quite fun!

What does it mean to be a great leader, and how do you develop the necessary skills? That is exactly what we will discuss in our two hour-workshop. We dive into the definition and characteristics of leadership, and how to efficiently lead team through (Tuckman’s) stages of team development!

How to Pitch Yourself / How to Present Yourself at the Interview
You've come to the interview and the very first infamous question hits you: “Could you tell us more about yourself?”…and from here on you are pitching yourself!
This is not limited to interviews, think about job fairs, networking events, or just meeting someone at the bar who asks you what you do.
After completing this workshop, you will be able to:
Understand the structure and elements of appealing self presentation
Craft a “self” pitch that best fits your career goals and personality
Practice using different pitching exercises and receive feedback from your peers and workshop leader
Practical information
Duration: Our workshops are designed to be optimal with a duration of 2 hours however, 1.5 hours is possible. A longer duration is also possible upon consultation.
Participants: Our workshops are targeted at university students or fresh alumni. The optimal attendance for ensuring high interaction is 16 students; however, a higher number of students is also possible. The minimum number of participants is 8 students. Minimum attendance per workshop is 8 participants.
Language: The workshops are generally provided in English. Upon request, we might be able to arrange a Dutch-speaking trainer.
Custom workshops: Workshop on other topics (i.e. ones covered by our courses at LifeVersity) are possible. Please specify in the form.
Compensation: At the moment, the workshops we provide are free of charge for student associations of Erasmus University, given that the audience consists of students or fresh alumni. In return, we also ask for a promotional post about our free courses on the socials of your association/organisation. Workshops that are provided for faculties/departments of EUR are provided on a cost covering basis.
