How to tell them what they want to hear

What do business proposals, suggesting changes to your boss, or convincing your friends of where go on holidays, have in common? You will need to make arguments. Here is where persuasive speaking and pitching becomes handy!

To be persuasive, you must be clear,  convincing, and compelling. Persuasive speaking requires clarity, strategy, topic mastery, plus a sense of style and presence. It's a skill you will need in life and in your career.

The Masterclass Roadmap

In this 4-session masterclass you will apply adequate rhetorical tools to relate to the audience and retain attention, apply rhetorical approaches to build a persuasive argument, conduct target group analysis of an audience, and choose which persuasive structure is most adequate to a given situation.

Week 1: Persuade Anyone

In the first masterclass, you will understand the definition of persuasive style of public speaking and learn how to conduct a simple audience analysis. We will also apply ethos, pathos and logos to a short persuasive speech.

Week 2: Construct Compelling Arguments

We will learn how to build an effective argument and how to apply a persuasive structure to our speeches. You will get introduce to the concept of speech yoga.

Week 3: Charming Your Audience

You know the basics of crafting your pitch, it's time to tackle the audience. You will learn how to apply persuasive storytelling and to analyze persuasive figures of speech. You will have time to practice your final pitch.

Week 4: EURx Talks

It's time for the real deal. In this session, you will deliver your final assignment at our EURx Talks stage: a 2-minute pitch on a topic of your choice.

Upon registration, a deposit of 20€ will be charged to secure your spot. Once you have completed the course, you get your money back.

Is the time you need to commit to finish the course successfully. Around 1 hour for prep work and 2.5 hours for the training.

Her passion for training and helping people achieve their goals ignited in high school. Ever since, she has taken every opportunity to help people develop in some way, be it personal or professional. Bianca has been a trainer at LifeVersity for a year and has taught the Professional Development course at EUR. tHer mission is to help you explore and exploit the opportunities uncovered by the online setting and find your own unique way of being productive as there is not really a ‘one way fits all’ approach.


Small parts of some sessions might be recorded, or screenshots of the zoom calls might be taken for communication, education and/or marketing purposes.
