LifeVersity is a skills training company based in Rotterdam. We work with companies, universities, non-profits and individuals to build practical skills through active learning and feedback. Speaking Monsters is our public speaking sub-brand.
Skill training should be for everyone.
Speaking up in a meeting, giving feedback, leading a team, using AI well. These skills shape careers and lives, yet most people are expected to pick them up along the way.
We think they’re too important to leave to chance. Skills grow through practice: you try something, get honest feedback and try again, in a group where it’s safe to get it wrong.
So we make training hands-on, interactive and open to everyone, whatever their background. From company programmes and university courses to free workshops for non-profits, we build growth that lasts beyond the last session.

The spark
LifeVersity starts with one course: the Erasmus Public Speaking Academy at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Hands-on, practical, and built to make students confident speakers.
Growing with purpose
One course grows into 20+ programmes in communication, leadership, creativity and more. Over these years, more than 30 trainers teach with us.
Academic startup
In January 2024 LifeVersity joins the Erasmus Academic Incubator at Erasmus University Rotterdam, making research-based learning part of who we are.

Our training is built on active learning and feedback.

Our mission is to transform lives through accessible and impactful skill development: hands-on, interactive learning that supports long-term growth. Our vision is a world where everyone, whatever their background, has access to transformative skill training that is practical, engaging and deeply human.
Who runs LifeVersity?
LifeVersity was founded by Matt Hrusc, who is its Managing Director and also teaches. The day-to-day team is Matt, Dana Dimitrova (Brand and Marketing Manager) and Laura Mantilla Vargas (Project Manager). Our trainers teach the courses and workshops. Meet the team.
What is LifeVersity’s relationship with Erasmus University Rotterdam?
LifeVersity started in 2019 with the Erasmus Public Speaking Academy at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Since January 2024 we have been an academic start-up at the Erasmus Academic Incubator of Erasmus University Rotterdam. Our office is in the Mandeville building on the university campus. We are a company, not a university faculty.
What is Speaking Monsters?
Speaking Monsters is LifeVersity’s public speaking sub-brand. It is the home of our public speaking training: the 3-week Public Speaking Confidence Course, the monthly Speaking Gym, workshops and one-to-one coaching.
Do LifeVersity courses give a university qualification?
No. Our courses are practical skills training, not university degrees. Our open courses end with a certificate of completion from LifeVersity. When a university includes one of our courses in its programme, the university can decide if it counts towards credits.
Where is LifeVersity based?
In Rotterdam, at Erasmus University Rotterdam: Mandeville building T6-52, Burgemeester Oudlaan 50, 3062 PA Rotterdam. We train in person in the Netherlands and also online. Get in touch.
