Non-profits Foundations, associations and communities

Skills for the people behind your mission.

We train the staff, volunteers and members who carry your cause: to speak up, communicate well and lead. Practical, hands-on and adapted to your people, your mission and the situations they face.

Skill training should be open to everyone.

We usually charge for our training. When your cause aligns with ours, we can sometimes sponsor a workshop or offer a reduced rate. Tell us about your organisation and your budget, and we’ll look for a format that works for your people.

How we help.

We train your people’s skills: how they communicate with each other, and how they speak for your cause. We don’t design fundraising or campaign strategy, but we can train the people who present it.

Workshops for members

Hands-on sessions for your members or community, built into a member evening, an event or a volunteer day.

Training for staff and volunteers

Communication and leadership training for the people doing the work. Staff and volunteers can train together, whatever their experience.

Speaking for your cause

Pitching and speaking practice for the people who represent you, at events, pitch nights or on stage. We sponsored a pitch workshop for the participants of a pitching competition.

Two non-profit cases.

Stichting Rot.Jong

The need

Rot.Jong wanted its young professional members to speak with more confidence.

What we did

A public speaking workshop for around 35 members, led by Bianca, Matt and Laura, with playful exercises like PowerPoint Karaoke in small groups.

What changed

The members stepped out of their comfort zone and became more confident speakers.

“The workshop helped the group to step out of their comfort zone and become more confident speakers.”Kelly van Dortmont, Stichting Rot.Jong

Welzijn Velsen

The need

Welzijn Velsen, a welfare organisation, wanted to strengthen intercultural communication in its team.

What we did

Workshops in two groups. After the first session, the trainers adapted the content to make the second one even more relevant.

What changed

Engaging, practical workshops with insights the team could apply in their work right away.

“Right from the initial conversations, it was clear that they listened carefully to our needs and tailored the workshop accordingly.”Carola Nijveld, Welzijn Velsen

Questions?

Can you work with a limited budget?

Tell us what you have. We usually charge for our training, but when your cause aligns with ours, we can sometimes sponsor a workshop or offer a reduced rate. A shorter format, like a single workshop instead of a course, also keeps costs down. Get in touch to talk it through.

Can volunteers and staff train together?

Yes. Our sessions are practice-based and adapted to each group, so staff and volunteers with different levels of experience all get something out of it. Topics include communication, public speaking and leadership.

Can you run a workshop during a member event?

Yes. A workshop of 1.5 to 2 hours fits easily into a member evening, an event or a volunteer day, like the public speaking workshop we ran for around 35 members of Rot.Jong. See the case.

Do you help with fundraising or campaign strategy?

No. We focus on your people’s skills: how your team communicates internally, and how your people speak and pitch for your cause. We don’t design fundraising or campaign strategy, but we can train the people who present it.

Do you train in English and Dutch?

Most sessions are in English, and Dutch is available on request.
